Ayrshire Cycle Festival – Glespin Gallop

A 100 mile sportive on open roads.

  • Fully signed route with route sheet handout.
  • GPX track file option (online registrations only).
  • Drinks & light refreshments available at the finish (included in the entry price).
  • Event medal, certificate and small goody bag for all finishers.
  • 12 hour time limit.

Part of the Ayrshire Cycling Festival weekend, the Glespin Gallop is the longest event on the programme. It start at sea-level then climbs inland to pass through farm land and moorland as it extends east and south into Lanarkshire and Dumfries & Galloway.

It qualifies as one of Cycling UK’s  Challenge Ride Series 2017.

This is a non-competitive sportive – no electronic timing.

It qualifies as one of Cycling UK’s  Challenge Ride Series 2017.

Ayrshire Cycle Festival – Group Ride

A 50km group ride in South & East Ayrshire.

  • Experienced Cycling UK members will lead the group around the route.
  • Partially signed route .
  • Mid-ride snack stop (weather permitting)

Part of the Ayrshire Cycle Festival weekend, this is a non- competitive group ride at a gentle touring pace.

The route follows some of the roads used by our other two longer offerings, the Glespin Gallop and Cumnock Canter, so will be partially signed even though the signage is not really required.

Average on-road speed will be approx. 9-10 mph.

Experienced Cycling UK members will lead the group around the route.
