Ride the North is not a conventional Sportive (but its the closest category on this website!). The events is a two day challenge ride through the beautiful scenery of the Grampian Highlands in the North of Scotland. The course is 82 miles each of the two days and while there is no timing, there is a timetable of support provision that is set-up to look after the needs of cyclists of all abilities.
The route will have a few revisions from 2012, but will once again follow the scenic back-roads through the Grampian Highlands between the cities of Inverness and Aberdeen. This is a supported ride, with mechanical support, support vehicles, route signposting, lunches provided, mobile coffee stops, refreshments, luggage transfer, transfers from finish point to local accommodation and of course all the encouragement you will need.
We are delighted to once again be working with Maggie’s our partner charity. There is no obligation to raise funds by participating in Ride the North, but we would urge you to put your efforts towards such a good cause and would delighted to support you in doing so.
