This fun, free cycling event will continue links forged in days gone by between Paisley Abbey and Whithorn Priory in South-West Scotland, when saints, monks and monarchs followed the Way to Whithorn.
You decide how much, or how little, to do and which route suits your group (and bikes!).
Your journey starts in Paisley on 8th April and includes lots of interesting places along the Ayrshire coast where you can have break, enjoy the scenery and refuel. Then you can head back forming a circular route or return on the train – you’re never far away from one; there are 8 stations to choose from on route to Maybole.
If you’re feeling adventurous and would like a more challenging route, why not go all the way to Whithorn, through the scenic Galloway Forest Park, or following part of the Whithorn Way?
As we said, entry is free! All we ask is that you do 2 things:
1. Please email us on the contact link with your contact details, so we can give you a number and keep you updated with any important information you will need. Event numbers are limited and will be on a first come, first served to email address basis. Our email is firstname.lastname@example.org
Initially we’ll send you an info booklet and keep you updated with our plans through our event page
2. Make a suggested donation: £15 for full route, on the event’s Just Giving page.
All donations will be greatly appreciated and will help us build a nursery with a medical facility.
You can then, of course, do your own fundraising, either for CfM, or for your own charity…you are, after all, taking on a worthy challenge!
