Glasgow City Mission has been showing practical Christian Care to those trapped in poverty since 1826. We serve those who are homeless and marginalised in Glasgow City Centre, plus the children and families of Govan through our Child & Family Centre.
Our City Centre project feeds an average of 130 men and women each evening. By understanding each person’s individual needs, we connect people to our daytime activity programme. Over 20 clubs and activities seek to build self confidence, self esteem and develop practical, usable skills including helping people find suitable training or employment. We also provide opportunities to explore the Christian faith.
Our Child & Family Centre provides a nursery, parent/toddler group and parenting classes.
With no Government funding, we’re dependent on individual donors, local churches and local businesses, and charitable trusts to enable our much needed work to take place.
