Following a very successful event in 2017, when over £6000 was raised, this is the sixth year of the Banffshire Cycle Challenge, organised by the Rotary Club of Banff and supported by the Banff Round Table and The Inner Wheel Club of Banff. It is designed to encourage participation by cyclists of all ages and abilities from first timers to experienced riders.
This year we have two exciting new routes plus an opportunity for the very youngest to take the challenge and join in the fun by cycling around the track at the Deveron Sports Centre. The longer is approximately 24 miles for those seeking a challenge, and the shorter route designed for those with restricted abilities, families and younger children is approximately 4 miles.
Both routes meander through areas of picturesque rural scenery with stunning views of the Banffshire countryside. The routes follow tarred roads, with the longer route suitable for both high-performance racing bikes and mountain bikes. However the event is designed as a challenge, not a race
